Termiz V. Hays

Termiz V. Hays, born February 12th 1980, was surrounded by family and friends on April 10th 2025 at the St. Joseph Medical Center where he passed after a long battle with illness.

Termiz was well loved by many and loved many in return. Quick to lend a hand in any situation from a place to stay or even a shoulder to lean on he was there. His laughter and sense of humor was one of a kind along with his quick wit and comedic characters, you would find yourself laughing for days. His heart was real and his love unconditional especially towards his children and family members. As his friends would often say “He was a real one!”

He enjoyed working with his hands from building to fixing anything. It was common to find him with a tool in his hands working away at various job sites or on a friend’s house. He loved the outdoors, especially the float trips he was part of in which he could be free to enjoy the experiences with friends. His love of all genres of music was where he would appreciate the beauty of music, often expressing his soul by free styling his own lyrics, creating beauty in the beats.

Termiz embodied a free spirit that lived life on his own terms, not constrained by anyone or expectations. He was open-minded, adventurous and passionate in so many ways. True to himself only living in accordance to his valves while uninhibited to express freely and openly, caring less of anyone’s passing judgements.

Termiz is survived by his grandfather Moses Harris, his father Stanley (Nataki) Epps, his mother Barbara (Stanley) Jefferson, his stepfather James Belt, his significant other Jessica Pennington, his brothers Timothy Hays, Isaiah Belt and James Jefferson, his sisters Tonya Belt and Stephanie Smith, his children Micah Hays, Layla Ven, Termiz Hays Jr, Bill Phillips, Treyvon Hays, Jamison Hogan, A’Myrah Hays, Trenton Hays, Elijah Pennington and Julius Pennington. As well as many, many, many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Rev. Walter Sr. and Marva Mason, Robert and Muriel Hays, Warner Bigley, Jean Bridgman, brother James “Bo” Belt and Uncle Robert Hays.

While Termiz will be greatly missed by all, we hold on the fact he lives on 8 times over where we will see bits of him shining thru his children till the day we are reunited with him in heaven.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 10:00am-11:00am at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133.
