Terrence Timothy “Tim” McKinney, 68, of Independence, Mo passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Research Hospital in Kansas City.
Tim was born December 1, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of William “Vic” and Doris McKinney, the youngest of two sons.
He worked in auto body repair in the Kansas City area.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Mike McKinney, several cousins, and his best dog ever, Tubby.
He is survived by his sister in law, Joann McKinney, two nieces, Jessica Cox and Amanda Orahood, along with six great nieces. And his loving cousins.
Cremation is planned with a private family graveside service at Union Cemetery, Rocky Mount, Missouri at a later date. There will be no service.
In honor of Tim’s life, we invite you to attend to the needs of a stray animal for a day or donate to your favorite animal shelter.

Cousins are our first friends. You were a great cousin. Thank you for the lifetime of memories I have of you. I will miss you and that laugh of yours. May you finally rest easy. The cousins got this now. Tell everyone hello for us. I wish I could have seen you finally hug your Mother’s neck after all these years. Forever in our hearts. Save us a seat. Love ya Timmy!
