Thomas Sims II

Thomas ?Rick? Sims II, 53, KC, MO passed away March 13, 2007. A visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Friday, March 16, 2007 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown. A memorial service will follow at 1 PM. Burial in Elm Spring Cemetery. Rick was born Jan 5, 1954 in KC, MO. He is an US Air Force Veteran. Rick received his bachelors and masters from CMSU. Rick was celebrated for his successes as a high school and collegiate competitive debater. Following graduation he brought back competitive debate to Baker University as their coach. Following Baker University, Rick taught communication studies at Iowa State University, a many of the Kansas City area community colleges. He most recently worked in KC with the IRS. Rick was preceded in death by: father; and sisters, Cindy, Linda, & Joy. He is survived by: wife, Denise, of the home; mother, Joyce Sims, KC, MO; son, Chris; and daughter, Jennifer. (arr.
