Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Togalei “Lei” Tapuai Pio was born on November 10, 1958 in American Samoa. She was raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she spent most of her life until relocating to Independence, Missouri. She will be remembered by many for her dedication to family, outspoken and genuine personality, carefree persona, blunt sense of humor, onolicious cooking, and just being one of a kind! Lei was the epitome of aloha spirit, and those close to her can always reminisce about her pure loving heart. Doing and giving unto others came too natural for her. A lasting impression of love is the precious gift she left to those whose lives were fortunate to cross paths with hers, a love that could never be matched. Her husband was her heart and her children were her whole life. On the 19th of May, 2021, her soul found Rest in the Lord. Her presence will forever be missed but never forgotten.
Our dearest Lei is survived by husband Eneliko Pio; children Edmund Fetui, Chance Tafao, Justin Pio, Wilson Pio and Nicole Pio; 1 brother and 2 sisters; 11 grandkids; and many friends and loved ones.
A Family Service will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 6:00pm. On Friday the 28th, the Main Funeral Service will take place at 9:00am and the burial will follow. Services will be held at The Cornerstone Community of Christ Church located at 1316 South Osage St. Independence MO 64055 and the burial is located at Mt. Washington Cemetery. All are welcomed and invited to both services! All flower deliveries should be sent to the church address after 3pm on Thursday the 27th.
Until that Glorious Morning,
Rest in Jesus
