Travis Victor Fish

Travis Victor Fish, of Independence, MO, born November 9, 1988, died unexpectedly of natural causes on January 23, 2019. He was joyously greeted in Heaven by Jesus and his beloved Grandma, Beverly Goodrick who had passed on a few months prior.
Travis graduated from Fort Osage High School in 2007. In 2009, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and fought a courageous battle, enduring chemo and radiation. We rejoiced when he was declared cancer-free 2 weeks ago.
Travis loved his family. He spent as much time as possible with his mom, Cindy Goodrick-Sanders, accompanying her everywhere. He enjoyed camaraderie with his grandpa, Victor Goodrick, helping him in yard work. His sisters Donna and Destiny Sanders – and Destiny’s 2 little sons Andres and Alex – also loved Travis dearly, as did his aunt Kim, uncle Russ and cousin Shekinah Kline. He will also be missed by his dad Chuck Fish and grandparents Charles & Terri Fish.
A hobby that brought Travis great delight was hunting for antique jewelry pieces, acquiring quite a collection. For many years he also enjoyed walking several miles a day. Now Travis has walked into Heaven, perfectly healthy and whole. We will miss this special young man so much, but knowing his present joy is a sweet balm to our broken hearts.
Visitation will take place at Central Assembly of God, 1009 W 23rd St. in Independence, MO on Thursday, January 31, from 11AM to 12PM, followed by the funeral, officiated by Rev. Russ Kline. Burial will then be at Salem Cemetery.
