The impact of Van’s passing has been felt by everyone within his Bank of America family. For 11+ years, Van provided leadership, safety and support to thousands of associates, co-workers and vendors. In all those years, Van was never late to work, he approached every responsibility assigned to him with unparalleled diligence and was respected by everyone who worked with him. Van will be missed by so many who relied upon him daily. We’re all going to miss his positive attitude, his diligence and his leadership in SOACC.

Van was a great friend and coworker. He was always there for us with whatever we needed. For the past 5 1/2 years that I have worked with him, he never hesitated to help. I am going to miss hearing about Pokémon, disc golf, and his family stories. He would always light up when talking about them. He was extremely proud of his daughter, Hannah. I know that I’m always going to think of him when winter comes and it’s cold outside. It was his favorite season. Van will be deeply missed by all of us.

Van was a great friend and co-worker. I don’t know how to express my true sorrow for the loss of a man that touched so many. I hope in the months and years to come, we will be able to look back with smiles, for a man that brought with him a smile to work each day. Van was a solid foundation when you needed support, a true mentor when you were learning, and quick with a joke when you needed to laugh.
Van, in case I didn’t say it enough, thank you for all you did. I will miss you.
