Verna J. Goin

Verna J. Goin, 79, of Independence, Missouri passed away June 7th, 2022, in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Goin was born in December of 1942 in Summersville; MO. Verna proudly obtained her cosmetology degree in 1964. Then she married Thomas Goin, February 03, 1962. Verna was not only a devoted wife to Thomas, for 56 years but she was also a loving mother to her children; Robert and Shari. Verna was a great seamstress. Some of her favorite projects in the early 70’s, was sewing matching clothes for her and her daughter. Verna had many hobbies, but she found solace and inspiration in gardening. Verna had a beautiful soul and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Verna was preceded in death by her Husband; Thomas H. Goin of Independence, MO and her sister; Lois Robertson of Fort Pierce, FL. Survivors include Son; Robert Goin of Independence, MO, Daughter; Shari Branch (Robert) of Alamosa, CO and granddaughter; Miranda Unwin (Anthony) of Cheyenne, WY.

A mother’s love is like a garden, her children and grandchildren are the seeds. And as they grow, she tends to them fulfilling all their needs. Wherever there is beauty, Verna’s love is there.
