Vicky Ecklund

Vicky (Van Hoozer) Ecklund died December 27, 2004, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born March 9, 1949, in Trenton, MO, to Verne and Marian (Lowry) Van Hoozer. Vicky attended Trenton High School and graduated with wonderful classmates in 1967. She attended TJC for one year and then went to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville and graduated in 1971 with a BS in Business. She then received her MBA from Keller Graduate School, Kansas City, MO, in 1991. She married Marvin Ecklund in 1978. She worked for Butler Manufacturing Company from 1973 until November of 2000, when she went to work for Western State Fire Protection and her longtime friend, Nage Damas. Vicky is survived by her adored husband of 26 year, Marvin, of the home, Independence, MO; father, Verne Van Hoozer, Trenton; brother, Lowry Van Hoozer, Trenton; nephew, Jeff Van Hoozer and his wife, Rachel; three “great” nieces, Jasmine, Jade and Janessa Van Hoozer, Trenton, and many wonderful friends who made her life incredibly full. She was preceded in death by her dear mother, Marian Van Hoozer, “Mrs. Van,” who taught English and Speech in Trenton for many years. Cremation. No services pending at Vicky’s request.
