Virginia “Ginny” Lee (Lane) Jones Ratcliff

Virginia “Ginny” Lee (Lane) Jones Ratcliff, 92, of Independence, MO passed away on 6 March 2024.

Born 27 December 1931 at her family farm home in the township of Wishart, Polk County, MO. Moving to the Kansas City area in 1950 after marriage.

Proverbs 31:31 Honor her for all that her hands have done. Let her works bring her praise.

She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She has four children: Deidre, Denise (Barry), Donna (Floyd) and Daniel (Shelley); nine grandchildren: Craig, Amber (Justin), Cassandra (Matt), Latisha, Brett (Crystal), David (JoAnna), Bryant, Ezekiel “Zeke” and Zachariah “Zach”; ten great-grandchildren and one more on the way: Jacob, Kyle, Aubree, Haylee, Aliya, Jayden, Jaxson, David Thomas, Alayna, Sofia; and many nieces and nephews and their extended family members.

Ginny worked at several local establishments over her tenure and made many friends. She worked at Stephenson’s Apple Restaurant, Cottage Inn, Bamboo Hut and Courthouse Exchange. Her last place working was back at Stephenson’s Apple Restaurant not long before it closed.

She had a sense of humor and a creative nature. Ginny loved art, pretty things, flowers and she loved to watch the birds feed (especially cardinals).

We love her and miss her very much.

Thinking of you all. Her and Dad are together again stirring up all kinds of trouble.
She had contagious laughter and a supper smile.
    She will be missed.
