Virginia Quinn

Virginia Mae Lange Quinn, 73, passed away June 11, 2007, at her home after a long illness. Virginia was born May 10, 1934 to David and Libby (Skopek) Lange. She graduated from Sexton High School in 1951 as an all-state athlete in softball and basketball. In 1954, Virginia graduated from Wayne State University-Harper Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Menninger?s Psychiatric Hospital in Kansas and Harper Hospital. On August 10, 1957 she married George Donald Quinn in Lansing, Michigan. Survivors include her husband, of the home, four children, Elaine Fink of Keytesville, Cathy Johnson of Juneau, Alaska, Brian Quinn of Alachua, Florida, and Kelly Gunter of Sedalia, as well as six grandchildren. Virginia was an advocate for Civil Rights, Women?s Rights and Education. In her earlier years Virginia was an avid quail hunter. She also enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family and dogs. At her request cremation will be performed and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Jugram Trust Fund, 211 W. Broadway, Salisbury, MO 65281.
