Walter Banning, 73, Kansas City, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Monday, December 31, 2012 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Military graveside services will be held 1:30 PM, Monday, December 31, 2012 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
Walter was a US Navy Veteran. He will be remembered for his love and dedication to his church. Walter was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. No matter how hard life became, Walter never lost faith in his church. He was preceded in death; son, David Jacob Banning. Survivors include; daughter, Elizabeth Hessenaure, Sacramento, CA; son, Andrew Walter Banning, San Diego, CA; daughter, Sarah Rose Banning, Hesperia, CA; son, Michael Adam Banning, San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Samuel & Emily Hessenaure, and Eli & Evan Banning.
