Waltraud “Trudy” Carrol, 79, of Leawood, KS passed away February 25, 2024 at Olathe Hospice House from ALS. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Overland Park Arboretum, Overland Park, KS.
Trudy was born September 4, 1944 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. She enjoyed her 1st job at an Eye Doctor. Trudy worked at Ramstein Airbase in Data Processing where she met her 1st husband leading to a relocation to Illinois. She lovingly raised her children and loved to go up Mississippi River Road excursions and hike at Marquette Park. She volunteered at Lutheran church in Alton. Trudy also worked part-time at a retail store Target. She had many happy married years with her 2nd husband James Carroll who was born in England and was her true soulmate.
She was preceded in death by: husband of 16 years, James Carroll who passed away 12/31/2000.
Survivors include: daughter, Gabriele Schwartz and her husband Dale Schwartz; son, Jurgen Massen and his wife, Helga; granddaughters, Nadine & Hannah; son, Mark Kutter; grandaughter, Meagan Blackmon & her husband, Josh Blackmon; daughter, Ellie Kutter; and granddaughter, Annika Kutter.
