Wanda June Johnson

Wanda June Johnson, 81, of Bogata, Texas, passed away November 26, 2022 at home surrounded by family from natural causes. A private service will be held in the spring.

Wanda was born August 2, 1941 in Rugby, Texas to Carl and Doris Hervey. She was a hardworking, single mom who worked various jobs to take care of her kids, but mostly waitressing and a bullet assembler at Lake City ammunition plant. She always greeted everyone with a smile and was very loved by her friends and family. She was free spirit and loved to travel, calling many places such as Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, Missouri, and Washington state home over the years. She loved to camp and fish, along with listening to music. Seal and Croft, Bread, Karen Carpenter and of course, she loved her country music. Sh was always rolling her hair in curlers and she loved to get dressed up and go out. She spent the last 15 months at home in Missouri, where she enjoyed watching her true crime shows, and hanging out with family. She passed peacefully at home. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Daphne Hervey; daughter Brenda Clary; son Bill Reynolds; and daughter Destiny Johnson.

Survivors include her son Bob Reynolds; daughter Cindi Mills; and daughter Patty Morrison; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    What a lady. Loved my cousin Wanda June. . She could make me laugh out loud. She will always have a special place in my heart. Sending love and hugs to her family.
