Ward T. Amos, 88, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Westridge Gardens Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Raytown, MO. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00AM at Church of Christ, Lee’s Summit, Missouri. With burial at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.
He was born on August 6, 1930 in Clinton County, MO to Jess C. and Erma M. (Barton) Amos. Ward attended school in Plattsburg and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Ward retired from Western Electric where he was a cost accountant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and three brothers; Don, Jim, and Jess Amos, Jr.
Survivors include five children; Jane Palmer of North Carolina, Regina (Mark) Mensch of Florida, Rose Amos of Lenexa, Loretta (Archie) Patrick of Georgia, and Thomas (Vicki) Amos of Lee’s Summit, ten grandchildren; Jody Harness, Candice (Timo) Aranjo, Cameron Harness, Tami (Justin) Drury, Kelly (Don) Wilson, Jonah (Joy), Gabby, Katie (Sage Garettson), Thomas, and Jacob Amos, seven great grandsons; Cody, Alex, Joey, William, Josiah, Zachary, and Devin, sister Louise Friedman, and brother Jack Amos.
