WAYNE ALLEN ELLIS
Wayne Allen Ellis, 69, Raytown, passed away June 12, 2012. A memorial gathering will be held 6-8 pm Monday June 18th at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown. His mother, Elodee; children, Jeane Anne Wymore, Denise Hoffmann, Craig Ellis, Suzanne Sears and 8 grandchildren survive Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father John and brother Jerry. Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO 10:00 AM Monday June 25th.
Wayne served in the United States Army in Vietnam where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaing Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He retired as a Yardmaster from the Union Pacific Railroad.
