William Allen McMichael, 80, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away October 21, 2019 at John Knox Village Care Center from cancer. A graveside service will be held at 12:00PM, Monday, November 4, 2019 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri. Mr. McMichael was born on April 23, 1939.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Allen McMichael, Sr and Kathryn Jacobe McMichael.
Survivors include his three sisters; Kay, Carolyn, and Karen; three children; Craig, Brian and his wife Amy, Tetia and husband Alvaro; as will as three grandchildren, Kyndel, Presley and Max.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

This sailor looked ashore and saw his family often need his guidance, but knew he must stay because he had the watch.
For many years, he stood the watch, so that our countrymen and we could sleep soundly, in safety, knowing that a sailor would stand the watch.
Today we are here to say the watch stands relieved; relieved by those he has led, guided and trained. Sailor, you sir stand relieved.
We have the watch.”
