William Bill E. Blackburn, 78, Chilhowee, MO passed away July 24, 2009 at his home. Military graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2009 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Bill was born April 21, 1931 in Prestonburg, Kentucky. He was an Army Veteran and worked as a mechanic all his life. Survivors include, wife of 50 years, Frances Blackburn, of the home; daughters, Kitty Blackburn, Blairstown, MO, Kathy Blackburn-Long and husband Michael Long, Apple Valley, CA, Kay Blackburn and Michael Warlen, Chilhowee, MO, sons, Wayne Blackburn and Cindy Green, Apple Valley, MO, William Blackburn and Linda Helms, Urich, MO; sister, Olive Garrett, Ohio; brother, George Blackburn, Michigan; Granddaughters (Kathy’s daughters), Amber, Shelby, Michalella, of California; grandsons (Kay’s sons), Anthoni, Skip, Patrick, of Missouri; several step and adopted granchildren; three great grandchildren, and his long time pal Tracy.
