William (Bill) Edward Branch, 85, was called to his heavenly home on March 18, 2026.
Bill was born on May 19, 1940, in Hams Prairie, Missouri, to Edward “Bud” Hall Branch and Marian Estelle (Dolman) Branch. On February 12, 1965, he married the love of his life, Dorothy “Dotty” Dean Oliver, who preceded him in death.
Bill maintained a strong work ethic throughout his life. He often shared stories of his time hauling gravel, driving a taxi, and working at Fulton State Hospital in Biggs. Over the years, he also held several factory positions before retiring from Kraft Foods.
He found joy in simple pleasures, including camping trips, fishing, working in the yard, organizing his garage, detailing his car, and spending time with his family. His happiest moments in recent years were spent visiting with his granddaughter, Jennifer “Jenn” Hassler, playing dominoes, roasting s’mores, and watching the Super Bowl together.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his sisters, Doris Dunnavant and Rhonda Duckworth; and his grandchildren, Gary Lehman, Lance Loveless, and Dennis Knott.
Bill is survived by his children: Cindy Hassler (Matt Grefrath), Carolyn O’Connor (Tom), William Lehman (Francine), Terrie Brady, Gerald Lehman, Cathie Lehman, and Pamela Knott (Tom); his sister, Ruby Rowe; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In honoring Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation.
Bill’s stories, laughter, and the love he had for his family will be carried on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply loved and forever missed.
