William E. Severns, 92, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Aug. 24, 2005. William was born in St. Louis on March 27, 1913. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1937. He was a member of Beta Pheta Pi Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific and was awarded the Bronze Star as a Lieutenant. Mr. Severns retired from the Westport Bank in Kansas City after 41 years of service, serving as President and retiring as Chairman of the Board. He was a member of many civic organizations in Kansas City and Kimberling City, MO. He is survived by his wife, Emma Blair Severns; a daughter, Georgia; stepson, Robert Blair and wife Beverly Blair all of Kansas City, MO. Services in Kimberling City, MO, are planned for a later date.
