In Loving Memory of Our Father
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, William Fredrick Zane, who passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026.
He was a smart-mouthed, stubborn, wonderful man who had a personality you could never forget. He was strong-willed, outspoken, and completely himself. He had a way of making his presence known, and anyone who knew him knew there was never going to be another man quite like him.
To us, he was so much more than a father. He was a part of who we are, a part of our childhood, our memories, our stories, and our lives. Losing him leaves a space that can never truly be filled.
Dad faced his final days with the same strength and determination that carried him throughout his life. As difficult as it was to watch him become sick, our greatest comfort is knowing that he is no longer suffering and is finally at peace.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Catherine Zane, his sister Stephanie Spence, his sons William Zane, Travis Zane, and Dylan Zane.
He is survived by his Daughters Maranda (Chris) Carcasio and Skyler Zane his sons James ( Gina) Kroeplin and Steven Kalmey His sister Kelli (Hisham) Gadallah his grandchildren Justin Kilgore, Raven Townsend and Niaomi Lilly Zane who will continue to honor his memory and carry his love with them.
His memory will live on through the family he loved, the lessons he taught, the stories we share, and the many lives he touched. Though we will miss his voice, his humor, his stubbornness, and his unmistakable personality, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to have with him.
