On February 6, 1932 Willie Butler, Jr. was born in Staples, TX. He graduated from Whitley High School in San Antonio, TX in 1949. He then moved to Los Angeles, CA to further his education at Manta Monica College, where he graduated in 1972 to become a certified County Social Worker. After 29 years of service he retired from Grace Home.
On July 27, 2010 Willie went to be with his mother and father, Ollie and Willie Butler, Sr.; one beautiful sister, Ethel Ballard; and two strong brothers, Ben and Horace Butler.
He leaves behind two wonderful families: previous 4 children, Harold, Freddrick, and Alvin Butler, and Korean Carpenter. He also leaves behind a beautiful wife of 43 years, Lois J. Butler; 3 children, Tamara, Theresa and Kashia Butler; three sister-in-laws, Irene, Elizabeth and Sylvia; five brother-in-laws, John, Julious, James, Donald and Salamam; 18 wonderful grandchildren; 18 beautiful great-grandchildren; a host of loving nieces and nephews and friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133.
