Willis Dean Robertson

Willis (Dean) Robertson, son of Alvin Robertson of Crockett Texas, and Dorothy Magee of Bethany Missouri peacefully passed away May 9 2025 at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City.

Dean was born March 17, 1949 in Bethany Missouri. His loving wife Lynnette , still resides in their home in Blue Springs Missouri.

Dean was blessed with two children Tammy Spencer of Houston Texas, and Jason Robertson of Woodlawn Tennessee, from a previous marriage to Ruth Motley. Tammy and Jason continues the family with grandchildren  Ashley Hannah, Evan, Gavin, Lucas, Kinzie, Annika & Griffin, and great grandchildren Kylin, Kinleigh, Cayden, Beau, Carson, Eli, and Malinda. Dean took great joy in telling others about his extended family.

He is also survived by a sister Rebecca Lockhart of Stanberry Missouri, and a brother Riley Smith of Rio Rancho New Mexico.

Dean will be also greatly missed by his many great friends from childhood, military, work, and neighbors.

He loved to fish, swim, camp, and canoe trips. Also he enjoyed to entertain family and friends with outdoor BBQs.

Dean was an Army veteran, and served bravely with his comrades in the Gladiators Assault Helicopter Company during the Vietnam war as a Huey crew chief.

Dean was an employee of Coca-Cola for 18 years, then returned to college, obtained a degree, and gained employment with AT&T.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor at the family home in Blue Springs Missouri on 22 May 2025 from 1pm to 4pm.

    I was shocked and saddened to hear about Dean’s passing. You have our deepest sympathy. Dean always made a point to stop and say hello. Good neighbors and a good long time friend of the family.
