Zachary James Hoyer

Zachary James Hoyer, 35, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away surrounded by the love of his immediate family.

Zachary was born on June 20, 1991, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Phillip Hoyer and Lisa Taylor.

He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

For nearly a decade, Zachary shared his life with his wife, Bianca Hoyer. The two were married in Clarksville, Tennessee, and built a life together filled with love, laughter and memories that will be cherished forever. He was absolutely adored by his wife. Above all, Zachary took great pride in being a husband and father to their children, Phoenix and Freya Hoyer. His family was the heart of his life, and being there for them mattered most to him.

Zachary had a natural wit and a wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around him and leaving them with a story to tell. He found joy in cultivating plants, nurturing them, and watching them grow.

Zachary was the epitome of his “Brothers’ keeper”. He loved sharing laughs with his older brother, Joshua Taylor. He enjoyed going deer hunting with his first younger brother, Nate Hoyer, during his time in Eastern Kentucky and Zach’s patience always paid off as he was an avid hunter.

Zach loved roaming the various beaches and springs in Florida with his second younger brother, lan Martin, and pondering life with him. And with his youngest brother, Sean Hoyer, he loved being a source of inspiration and sharing what it means to be a man.

Zach spent time all over the U.S. and loved to travel but will always be remembered as a true Texan.

Zachary did not want a traditional service; instead, he wanted to be remembered as a joyful part of everyone’s lives. Those who knew and loved him are urged to honor his memory in the way he would have wanted: by remembering the laughter, cherishing the love, telling stories, and carrying a little of his joy forward.

His absence will be deeply felt, but the love he gave to others will remain.

Zach what can I say, you were equal parts of fun and laughter. You were a brother to both my girls and a constant in our home as a teenager. I will always remember you with a smile. You will be greatly missed.

If you thought dying meant getting away from me, you’re wrong. You will always be the love of my life and I’ll always be “yours”. My heart aches all day, every day for you. Phoenix is devastated and Freya cries for you everyday. I wish I would have died with you but I know someone has to take care of the girls. The last 2 pieces of you are keeping me going. I have cried every day since you passed. I want you to know that I am so sorry I got mad at you for buying Phoenix the banana thing. What a ridiculous way to spend the last few hours of your life. The banana squishy has been memorialized, along with some of your other belongings. If I had known what I know now, I would have done so many things differently. I hope you are finally at peace but I want you to know how terribly you’re missed. I love you more than life itself.
